Microsoft Windows 12 - Release Date, Concept, Trailer & more.. Although Windows 12 release date has not yet been officially announced by Microsoft, we were recently given a sneak peek at a prototype. During CEO Satya Nadella's keynote at Microsoft Ignite, a preview of Windows 12 concept was accidentally shown. Interesting new features in the concept include a floating taskbar and the relocation of various system icons to the top of the screen. These include the Wi-Fi and battery indicators, as well as a weather widget. This would bring Windows closer in functionality to macOS and certain Linux distributions.

Since the release is still at least a year away, this is most likely an early stage of development. Even if it undergoes major revisions or is scrapped entirely before Windows 12 is released, the preview builds give us a lot to think about. If this concept is any indication, Windows 12 will shake things up even more than Windows 11, which introduced major changes to the taskbar after years of stagnation. The price of windows 12 is not yet decided byt the microsoft.

I expect the following:
1. To not be forced to upgrade my hardware! I like my overclocked Intel i5 gen 2 CPU
2. I don't need an o365 account to setup my computer I can use a local account which doesn't sync with any email or phone number. It might be Microsoft's OS but I care about my computer and my privacy.
3. Stop forcing me to reboot my computer to then see a prompt asking me to upgrade to a new windows OS.
4. Stop trying to be artists making a futurist vibrant colour desktop display and give us the standard windows xp, 7 or 10 start bar. It just works and everyone's familiar with it. we hate mac and don't want a windows os to remind us why we hate mac so much.

I wish to see new feature in windows 12 where I can sort images inside folder up to the image content where repeated files (even if they do not have same name) will be arranged next to each other. (may be all file types will be treated the same)

So nothing official from Microsoft, just rumours that Windows will return back to 3 year releases. Good, I won't waste my time or plan a new PC build for windows 12 until Microsoft reports something. Windows 11 could last longer then windows 10, I won't start waiting. Thanks.

Hello. I don't like microsoft coming out with windows 12 so fast. Windows 11 was disliked by many especially because of the hardware compatibility. Now many have managed to install Windows 11.
Many have just start learned Windows 11.
People have also got all the hardware working and installed all the software they want.
When windows 12 comes out, there are guaranteed to be some compatibility problems with hardware and software people like to use!

We don't need new windows so quickly. Neither technically nor in terms of safety.
Many people also like to update their computer more than they use it!!

What we need instead is classic start menu from windows 7 and a properly transparent taskbar where we can adjust how transparent we want it to be. And rounded corners on the Taskbar.
All this so we don't have to use

Just bring back windows 7 support and lets see who ends up using what - yuck for the new win ui - remember you pushed this new crap on us keep telling yourself everyone likes the new windows versions because its not true - Not everyone feels like throwing away their hardware like you are suggesting - Then why buy this windows @ all if its just something that will die again ? Like Win Xp Win7 Win8.1 Xbox 360 xbox one All those in the dust bin because ? you felt like making money ??? keep your trash no thanks ! So its actually a blast in the trash !
