Deputy fires at driver after being struck by vehicle in South Los Angeles: LASD

A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputy opened fire on a suspected assailant in the South Los Angeles neighborhood of Gramercy Park early Saturday morning, but it remains unclear as to whether the suspect was hit.

Glad the deputy is going to be OK! It shouldn't matter if the suspect had a weapon or not he used his vehicle as a weapon so that gave every right for the deputy to fire at him! I like how this newscaster tries to lay blame at the deputy when the weapon was a car!

Something doesn't sound right with this one. Cops never put themselves in a position to get run over by the vehicle they pull over....unless they were trying to yank the driver out of the car, and the driver was able to press the accelerator and get out of that situation, causing the sheriff to fall down, and get run over by the rear tire.
