STOP Using the Microwave | What Cooking in the Microwave Does to Food

A microwave might be an easy way to make a meal when you don’t feel like cooking, but it’s also an easy way to ruin the food you eat.

In this video, I cover why you should stop microwaving food immediately, and what eating microwaved food does to your body.

Using plastics, especially in the microwave, can cause microplastics to enter into your food. For this reason, I recommend sticking to glass containers in the microwave and covering them with a paper towel.

I haven't used a microwave for about 13 yrs. My husband used to listen to this alternative guy on the radio as a kid and he never used one since! Since a child my husband has been educating people on things that are no good, bpa was another one.

This video is a big blessing. I am currently trying to remove microwave usage in my family. I am the son and it is quite difficult. This video really helped me and encourages me to keep pursuing freedom from microwave usage. Even if it is convenient.

About garlic, the study shows 45 minutes of oven also does the same thing. And “Allowing crushed garlic to "stand" for 10 min before microwave heating for 60 s prevented the total loss of anticarcinogenic activity”

I agree with what you said, as far as when you said that a person who willingly chooses to microwave their own food to heat it up, but when I’m a guest in others home and they insist on heating the food that they serve me, that really ticks me off. I haven’t eaten anything from a microwave in 30 years and I’m not about to start now.

I remember when we didn't have microwaves. I guess we used pots and pans or the oven to reheat our food.

Unfortunately most work places only give you 30 minutes for lunch so the Microwave is the go to for quick hot lunch. Did this for many years. Now I'm retired, no microwave.

I grew up with parents born in the 1940’s and 50’s so they wouldn’t go near a microwave, they also didn’t trust blue drinks ☺️.
I have to say the plant experiment was all the convincing I needed. I’ll just buy a thermos and heat my food in the morning.

Very biased. The garlic thing applies to other heating methods as well! I stopped watching when you moved on to broccoli. Give a balanced overview of the topic...

What are the effects of microwaves in comparison to boiling? Stove top? Convection oven?

It seems youve only compared to steaming, which we already know is the healthiest way to cook

didnt get far into the video... but bro.... cooking brocoli and garlic pretty much every way damages the nutrients... so poor examples but I guess it helped push your anti microwave agenda

I haven't been using the microwave since 2009! After reading several studies on this this is not for good health.

I haven't owned or used a microwave in three years, and I don't miss it all. The "comforts" of modernity are killing people.

Me and my husband don't have much of a choice. We are in a rig for weeks at a time so alot of the times we eat at restaurants which most gets old. We want to get another little cook oven which are so much better. I use glass at home to cook in most of the time it's hard to eat healthy on the road.

What rubbish. Microwaving food has been shown to retain far more nutrients than boiling and even steaming.

Omg please understand that good fat is essential to a healthy diet. I use only clarified butter (easy to make from butter). I have fat with every meal. I am totally healthy. Here's what I do. I am keto/veg. Saturated fat, butter (160 C), clarified butter (220 C), red meat, eggs, nuts, vegetables, fruit. No wheat, bread, cereal, pasta, rice. No sugar. No artificial sugar of any kind. Only sweeten with fruits. Cacao Nibs. Only eat once a day. Fast (only water and minerals) 2 or 3 or 5 or 7 or sometimes 14 days. If 3+ days, cell repair will occur. Absolute cancer killer (lack of sugar, keto, so on). No processed foods - No E number chemicals. No sources of Aluminum!! Only whole foods. Works a charm!! NO $medications$, $drugs$, $vaccines$!!! They are designed to keep you sick! Oh and turn off your lie box TV and other mainstream sources of $brain washing$ $propaganda$.
