Still has my Celerio which is turning 6 years old this February 15. Fuel efficiency has been tested and proven to be accurate. Great bang for your buck. Not sponsored.

speaking of hatckbacks, I would love for you guys to do a comparo of the 2023 Honda City Hatchback 1.5, 2023 Toyota Yaris 1.5, and the 2023 Mazda 2 1.5. That should be fun since all three are in the same price range, same engine displacements, etc.

All my car are small hatchback picanto 2016 and the all new celerio 2022. For fuel efficiency the celerio wins not even close although the displacement is lower compare to the spark and picanto. Tipid talaga pricy lang close to some Chinese brands na mas malaki pa for the price point.

Ps: I am using them alternately for medyo long drive and days with heavy traffic I mostly use celerio and para sa mga malling and gala lang within the city picanto and spark I have to say ang spark takes the cake for being na matulin same as picanto din, for the celerio just imagine you’re driving a multicab to be honest.

Suzuki Swift is <3 hindi mukhang cheap (Dapat lang dahil hindi na rin sya cheap ngayon) rides like a sports car/go cart, and may look the part too. It has the best styling of all hatchback for me.

Celerio is the best for me.. For only 500 php worth of gas, you can go from Valenzuela to Dasma, Cavite on back and fort.

If you really, really want to save fuel and not go with electrification and dont mind a small car, then the Celerio is your best bet.

Hi, love all your videos. How about "The 10 safest on the phillipines". Seems to me that very few videos talk about safety in small cars.
Thanks!

i own 2018 kia picanto gt line with kilometer reading of 87K, my average fuel economy was 15-16km per liter at highway and i 28km per liter at expressway rolling about 70 to 80kph at 2k rpm. and top of that, nothing was replace except wiper & filters. kia nowadays are very reliable indeed. PS. im not getting used to change oil at casa, i have my trusted shop doin maintenance on my car.

I have the Celerio for 3 years now. I would definitely buy another one. It is absolutely the best bang for your buck in this category.

This will be quite long. But pls bear with me. I hope you find this educational and enlightening. Anyway ...
Fuel economy is dependent on so many things, even though they are compared among seemingly the same car category. Such things as: environment/road condition (they will not be always the same), payload, kilometers on the odometer (a 100km odo is a far cry from a 1000km odo), driving style, traffic conditions (even on a highway), to name a few.
Having said that, cars or their engines and transmission are designed differently. They have their own unique performance curves (an engg concept). This simply means that their optimum performance will be different, definitely not at 90kph or their equivalent rpm.
On a practical level, permit me to expound on two models that I have that are included in.your list: a 2017 mazda 2 and a 2023 Toyota wigo TRD S.
The mazda 2 is quote unique, maybe because of its skyactive engine. It has 2 peak performance (high mileage, low fuel consumption). One is at 80-90kph, the other at 100-110kph. Though the lower speed has a slightly higher peak. My best hiway consumption is 23km/li at 85-120kph.
The wigo's peak is between 60-75kph. Driving below 85kph gives me 27-28kph!
One is old (mazda) with 50k on the odo, while the new one (wigo) has 3k on the odo.
Clearly, one is designed for a different set of conditions than the other.
I hope your viewers can distinguish that. Thank you.

Tito Kako, may I ask what engine displacement of the mazda 3 provided the 22.1 km/L fuel efficiency?
