No louis...this is the only heat source we have...you should never connect to the same chimney that anything else is hooked to....again this is the only heat source we use...going on almost 4 years with this wood furnace and never had one problem..and we use it 5 months out of the year...best investment ever...again do not listen to negative reviews on this furnace..a lot of people do not know how to burn firewood right..thanks

night time almost closed with the flue wide the day once its going good draft contol is half open and flue is wide open....but for the most part the draft is just cracked so i can see fire through it....my house is 1000 sqft and our greenhouse is 200 sqft..

Thanks . Where do you keep your door dampers? I have a hot blast in my shop I work in everyday and while Im in there I deep the feed damper closed and the ash pan door open just a bit and feed it a log a hour or so for a small fire.
