I have a very inefficient late 1800s era large home that has been costing me a liver to heat (gas and heat pumps) since I bought it. Am looking into a wood or coal stove. The Drolet site says the HT3000 pumps out over 300K BTU, which would awesome. But it also says its only meant to heat a 2400sf home??? Tat makes no sense. 300K BTU should heat a much larger home. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Any feedback would be appreciated, as I am new to this. Thanks!

I had a question about the installation of the thermostat. I didn't notice any specific red or white labeling for the terminals and the instructions just said to attach the thermostat wire to the terminals. Is there a right or wrong way of connecting the red and white wires? Thanks for your time

Just wondering here: if you take away most of the heat - how do you minimize creosote buildup which I expect to be more present when the temperature goes down in the pipe towards outside

Can you still run it without a generator or electricity? If you remove plentium and let gravity get heat out?

Some people think of wood stoves and furnaces as giving you free energy. This is anything but the truth. They are a huge amount of work especially in northern climates which can increase the amount of wood required to heat a home. Other considerations are saws and saw equipment, and experience in using the above. Fuel for your truck ect. and maybe a small saw for bucking
