Today we have Wukong! Deriving from the legendary Sun Wukong in Chinese stories. Wukong came from rather simple origins, so today we take a look at how Wukong became the king of the meta and number one most used frame in recent times.

as a mythology nerd, the rework just made him more accurate. unfortunately, that means he's utterly broken in every sense of the word. just like his inspiration.

Wukong is the pure manifestation of the perfect rework. Wukog shows that DE can make miraculous things they just have an inexplicable ignorance of parts that is in need of a rework.

A long time I didn't want to play Wukong because I never really liked his kit, but when I tried him he instantly became my favourite pick for most missions.

He's been my main carry ever since playing Warframe during near the 1st prime resurgence announced on November a few yrs ago if I recall. Been sticking with Kuva Nukor clone and it was fun. Now I wanna update his gear because of this vid cuz it brings good memories of "Reject humanity, return to monke"

You forgot to mention that building Duration on Wukong can make his Could Walker quite extremely fun.
Also allows you to fly on Open Worlds since the Cloud's base speed coupled with up to 9 seconds duration bears the question: who needs a Archwing Launcher?
(One might need Energy Aura or Zenurik Wellspring to make it even better)

Wukong is too much fun! Your telling me the ability to fly through security missions, bonk grenieer with a giant stick, have a clone meme dance with you, and then eat damage... what's not to love

Worth noting: +1500 armor is +83% DR, and +750 armor is +71.5% DR

Wukong is so good that thanks to him, I was able to solo play and farm on Railjack the first two months. Granted I still had to be careful to not have my railjack on plain sight and it would get destroyed but Cloud Walker was a life saver for traveling fast inside the ships

Defy is definitely one of my favorite subsumes with rhino, since not only it synergies exceptionally well with iron skin mechanics and gameplay (due to both being dmg absorb-type scaling abilities), roar also boost the final dmg of the nuke, making it deal more dmg than it should be. Wukong can also abuse this well though.

Plus free 500 armor, good for general iron skin usage.

Wukong is pretty effective for what he does though.

Plus funni mini stomp in disposal, inheriting the cc power of a rhino stomp to an extent, even with few noticeable downsides (not casting speed moddable, 5m range loss, fixed 6s + 2s duration, hard to manipulate cc functionality of stomp type cc due to no time indicator and mechanics to deal with, loss the ability to resummon clone, and can't decide where the cc lands which can be detrimental), it is enough to make it a great cc.

Mesa and Wisp are my favorite frames, but Wukong is the one I pick whenever I need to do an activity I despise because I want its rewards and just need to get it over with. Wukong is not neccesarily the most fun frame to play, but he is the best at getting boring or tedious stuff done quickly and safely and that's why I think he has remained the No. 1 most popular frame for 3 years in a row. If anything, it should serve as evidence to DE that maybe they need to rework some of their missions/activities (cough cough Index) to be more fun and rewarding to make our time investment actually worth it.

He was my second Warframe I played after Excalibur. Then I got umbra with the umbral mods and started using him more with gloom. I’m now getting back to playing wukong more. I put roar in place of 3 and kept everything else the same. Absolute beast in every mission. Love his mobility!

I don’t really use him a lot but I’ve found with the helminth system there’s one mission type for definite that he’s amazing at. Rescue. Just put Limbo’s Banish over his 4 (as his 4 is completely useless compared to other exalted weapons), cloudwalk to the rescue target, banish them (using it’s augment with max duration makes even eximus units unable to kill the target), then book it to the exit.

Wukong is one if my absolute favorite frames even though I play him diffrent from others. I have two wukongs. I have one with autohack ability and max efficiency so i can spam through any spy misson with ease.
My 2nd is a wukong with his ultimate in mind. I put empower over defy, and giving both my clone and my ult and 50% perm increase to damage while being able to go inv and heal at anytime is amazing. Than his ult staff is just built like crazy to shred even steel path. Very fun flying into enemies, shredding, than flying to the next.

I have only been playing 53 days so my mod collection isn't great, but with that Wukong is still a badass. Now I am looking forward to getting some of his mods to help make him even more badass.
