The biggest threat to our food being safe is the government not the food manufacturers. The number of steps in some cases the government requires in food manufacturing are actually toxic but are required by our government. This is due to chemical companies lobbying the food and drug administration to have their so-called safe food practices applied to food manufacturing government. Just ask the Amish what happens when you reject the government's request to follow these processing steps with chemicals.

How about asking the FDA to do something about food dates and making them NOT complete BS. Like maybe adopting a system of ACTUAL food safety like in the UK instead of food dates being for inventory control.
