There is no built-in formula in Microsoft Excel that can determine the color of a cell. If you need to use an IF statement formula that interacts with cell color, you will need to create a custom macro.

Pedro from Brazil here. What about this: If D5>250 A5 is painted red. I've been thinking about this, and I can't find a solution for it. hahaha

is there a way to get a "True" or "False" value by comparing the colour of 2 different cells? For Example, if Cell A1 and B1 are both filled in with Red then cell C1 should say "Match" or "True"? That works for cells coloured by conditional formatting ?

What about the rest of the colors? Does your addon also cover any other RGB color?

Thank you so much for bringing this up...this gives me hope as I have a situation where you may be able to help me...I maintain data of some line items on monthly basis and mapping is done in one column being colored red, orange or green basis some numbers...Now I want to compare data with next month and I want to identify how many moved from red to orange/green or vise versa...have been doing it doing manual filter..can you suggest some formula where I'll get input on those transitions so that improvement etc. Can be measured at once...thnx.
