How nice it is, how simple, to be safe, warm, and dry. You decide not to turn on the television tonight; a storm like this deserves to be accompanied by a roaring fire, a good book, and a hot cup of tea. You've set up your windowseat just so, but there's one more thing you need: there are some freshly baked muffins in the kitchen, and you suddenly find that you require one. Returning with your snack, you find that your cat has usurped your seat. She looks at you with just a hint of smugness, confident that you won't be able to bring yourself to kick her off the cushion. She is correct, but you'll find a way for both of you to fit. You'll wait out the storm together . . .*

Well, here I am... 2 or 3 years ago, I watched this video to get away from the stresses and demands in working in health care, dreaming of one day I would move into a small cottage where I would find peace and quiet. Snowed a little today, air is crisp, some birds visiting on the porch. Lighting a small fire and a cup of steaming tea. Only person not here yet is a small cat or dog, but will one day when ready for a new tiny friend. Been watching the leaves falling, today watched soft snow placing its blanket on the trees. Time to bring out thick wool socks to keep my feet warm. May you all find some peace in your souls, it is there waiting for you.

I'm 30 with insomnia and after sleeping pills, post work exercise and mediation this has been Super successful of helping me sleep. I forgot tomorrows problems and just remember when I was a kid sitting with my dad evertime we heard thunder and watching the rainstorm from our porch.
