As a windows fanboy, I have never used a Macbook lol, so today I spent $400 on a Macbook to see if I could game on it! The FPS on Minecraft was very unexpected...

as a permanent macbook gamer (minecraft java), i love the macbook performace. especially because minecraft is mainly cpu-dependent i get 500+ fps on lunar client 1.8.9 and 700+ fps on badlion client 1.8.9 launched with optifine (2 years old laptop and it rocks)!!!

Bro u compared a workspace laptop using 5 year old tech to a 2022 mid-range gaming laptop... not completely fair 🤣 Tbh tho, the M series chips, (which mind you were put into affect in 2021) are very effective at gaming. An M1 can run MC at 700 fps, at like 4k res or smthing . You can pick one of those up for 700$... so not even that bad.

you bought a core i3 8th generation with a cpu family that prioritizes power efficiency over performance, (U intel family). If you spent 10 more pounds you would have gotten a better machine.

It is so stupid and silly to do these tests on Macs. Because Macs are made/optimized for "Best Of the Best" Professionals like 3D Graphic designers, Programmers, Video Editors, Photo Editors, Music Producers. Macs are not made for gaming NERDS 🤓. It is for the Real, Ultimate, Best Of The Best Professionals.
