The cheapest Apple “ecosystem” is still pretty good. An iPhone SE, a refurbed MacBook and the low end iPad will do 90% of what the top end does for most use cases.

Most of YouTube is full of stuff that costs $1000+. That’s not where most of the spending power of our economy lies. I get it is good for eyeballs, it’s not helping people as much as a video like this would.

I didn't plan to have Apple ecosystem, but I happened to in one right now and I'm so satisfied with it! I started with iphone 8 (didn't had any other Apple product else then a phone then), and then I bought iPad Air 3rd gen two years ago for digital drawings. Then I got 2nd gen airPod cause I could listen to music on the phone I'll I go to places and listen to youtube or music on the place I got with iPad.
Recently I bought an MacBook Air M1, the cheapest one to carry around and study.
From my experience, MacBook COMPLETED the last puzzle of the ecosystem for me. Studying, drawing, music, and etc. Every part of my ditial world elevated to another level. But I still don't see the necessity to have a watch.. so I'm planning to get new iphone.

AirPods 2nd gen ARE $89 at Walmart. I'm impressed that you managed to get ALL that stuff for under $1000 - everything you need to be fully functional with AAPL products. Amazing!

I have a similar setup. A pair of Powerbeats, iPhone XR, Apple Watch series 3, iPad 8, otter box defender case with a stand. A cheap Bluetooth keyboard I got on Amazon, and a pencil for signing documents. I found the powerbeats work very well for running. I ran five miles with them on, and had no issue. Also works good for taking phone calls, and Zoom meetings. Got the Powerbeats on sale at Amazon for 79.99.

As someone new to the ecosystem and at school (gave me a few discounts using unidays) I use the Iphone SE, Airpods pro and Macbook M1 Air 16gb for doing programming and schoolwork and have zero complaints, but it is a bit over the 1000 quid budget.
