Maggie, if you love dumb dino effects you should check out the Jurassic Park Live Action Tour where they have dinos on stilts and platforms. The T Rex looks like he's riding a bike.

Good or bad, props to the filmmakers for daring to take a risk and go outside an established franchise. Tired of seeing every dinosaur movie made under the Jurassic Park brand, but unfortunately, that's what will continue to happen if this movie flops.

Very honest and succinct review! It must be a bit frustrating to go to see a movie as a cinephile/film critic and then watch something like the one you’re describing here, when the potential is there for it to be something much better, but the whole thing really falls flat on its face. I’ve had that experience myself when watching movies before too, just as a regular viewer!

IMO, when a movie has a relatively nondescript title like a number, the content of the movie kinda needs to be that bit better to carry it off - and it sounds like this was the opposite; you used the word lazy here, and it sounds like the movie title itself has basically aligned with that laziness too in this case.

I actually enjoyed it. I had my popcorn and my Dr Bepis...and just let it do its thing. Simple? Yes. Thin? Yes. Still fun in its own way. Only 90 minutes so I did not feel like it took too much of my time. Wouldn't mind a straight to streaming kind of prequel that "world builds" for us this ancient technologically advanced culture that Kylo Ren was a part of.

Hollywood writers have never been worse than they are right now. Take Last of Us for instance; they had a perfectly good story with so much potential to make into a compelling TV series and they made it SUCK.
