I just like the fact that he holds a gun right in the trailer. The Marine knows how to use it. I too am a veteran, and I enjoy the movie more when actors can do that stuff correctly. Helps me stay in the story.

Outlander (2008) is an underrated gem, people should check out, is about a human from another planet crashing his spaceship on Earth while bringing a dangerous alien.
And yes, the film has vikings fighting the alien.

I saw this today and loved it. Actually many scary scenes, made me jump several times. Refreshing to watch a normal hour and a half movie, pure heart-felt entertainment. Defo recommend.

Saw it last night with my dad and we both loved it for exactly what it was, a lean, mean, tense and action packed movie that did not need to be any longer than 90mins. The movie does exactly what it sets out to do. Adam driver was great in this as was the young actress that played koa. Kinda wish they had a bit more of a longer confrontation with the final dinosaur but other than that I had no issues.

I took my 12 year old son to see it tonight. We had a great time and I felt the movie seemed relatively original, despite some situations that were somewhat familiar.
A “prefect” sci-fi-dino-action movie for a family!

Don't pay any attention to the online reviews. This movie is a stripped-down, lean, 97 minutes of all thriller and no filler. It's absolutely worth the watch in the theater.

You've convinced me. I've been hoping and waiting for a movie to make dinosaurs (outside of Jurassic park/world) legit scary

The best thing about this movie, I couldn't predict the next scene! Love a movie when you don't know what is going to happen next!

I am going to watch 65 this weekend. Did I hear Mr. H wrong though, people are bashing the character setup and development because AD's character has a backstory? That is asinine.

I really liked it. The movie had heart, the dialog wasn't corny like a lot of movies these days, Adam Driver and the little girl worked well together. I also really liked that Koa wasn't just the helpless kid that needed to be saved constantly. Fun movie that I will be buying and definitely plan on rewatching.

You’re the only person I’ve heard say positive things about this film. I’m supposed to be watching it next week and was beginning to change my mind and suggest something else but think I’ll give it it’s sci fi dino chance

Seems to be DOA from reviewers and who's seen it so far.
I'm confused by the beginning argument people are making against the storyline. So Driver's character has to leave on a two year mission to make the money to pay for his daughter's medical. Sounds dystopian to me honestly. But it gives the impression that the world around him, or his circumstances, gives him little choices.

Suicidal dude protecting a young girl who has some kind of affliction? Nah never heard it...

Non-Jurassic World dinosaurs! Refreshing!

My 15-yo daughter and I saw it last night and REALLY enjoyed it! Solid work developing the chemistry between Mills and Koa. The dinos were great and some well-done jump-scares, but not too many.
I did figure out Mills' daughter plot pretty easily, as well as the asteroid/meteor-shower angle, but that's fine; both added to the tension in their own ways.
Overall, I'd absolutely give it a second viewing at the theater, and depending on bonus features, I'll most likely purchase the Blu-ray.

p.s. I also really liked that the velociraptor was real-life-sized, not Jurassic Park-sized. Still a bit on the scary side, though, if faced in RL!

I saw this movie in theatres yesterday and I enjoyed it very much. Besides all the negative critics I‘m glad I gave this movie a fair chance. It‘s a solid flick with the most terrifying dinosaurs I‘ve ever seen on the big screen and it‘s definitely an alternative to the late boring JW movies.

I really enjoyed this film! I don't get all of the hate about the dinos in this film. They were well done effects wise and different looking, very menacing and it worked. That last gigantic T-Rex running on all fours was a site to see! I think this film will have a cult following years from now. I recommend it.

Nice to see the Star Wars "sequels" didn't ruin his career.

I enjoyed the movie and saw it twice in the theater because my father was visiting and we needed something to do. He's a relentlessly ruthless critic and yet he really enjoyed the movie. I like the simple story and thought the performances were good. The heart of the story is strong and the cinematography works to assist that story. No clue why so people want to dislike this movie when there is really very little to dislike about it. I suspect a lot of people don't know how to appreciate a simple story any longer.

I just came back from watching this film and I completely concur! Obviously it wasn't a perfect watch but it kept me reasonably entertained throughout and the tension was done very well.
