1:35 technically speaking there are some people who are just not able to teach others in a way that they can actually learn 1:42 I also feel like if you are deciding to homeschool because you don't want to change your schedule then you are doing it for the wrong reason

3:14 so basically they shouldn't be keeping their own schedule just to make things easier for themselves in order to not have to have their children conform to a regular school schedule?

Very helpful video. I don’t have anything to add to your list. It was very thoughtful. What I noticed you didn’t say is if your kids don’t want to a refuse to cooperate. I guess that would be another video. One that discussed unique challenges to help and encourage those who want/ need to push through. Some mothers don’t have a great relationship with their kids but I believe this would help. Though it may get worse before it gets better.

You packed a lot of wisdom into this video! We sent ours this year and there have definitely been pros and cons and still trying to determine what route to take next year. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! This was good ❤

There are some ppl who think they have to do schooling at home and they find out it’s not they may decide to homeschool their kids!!! I personally don’t think kids who are abused should be homeschooled as the abuse would be worse!!! We are 2 working parents and my stepdad is travelling with us as he works from home so he bought his work with us so he can help us with childcare/schooling while we travel school!!!

My niece has 2 very clingy children and I'm actually worried about her own personal mental health trying to do something that she probably doesn't have the capacity to do just because she feels like it's the right thing to do she's also basing this on the fact that her children have many cousins to interact with so their socialization shouldn't be a problem however she doesn't take into account the fact that those children are very overly protected as well and I just don't think that they can thrive in regular Society

I like these videos you're putting out. These videos would have helped when I first started homeschooling. Even though I been homeschooling for 6 years I am watching them like I'm new to homeschooling.

I'm a Christian and I want something that has bible class and I was initially l was leaning toward Easy Peasy but after seeing your Miacadamy review I am now leaning towards that one instead. Which one do you recommended to start off for a 1st grader with autism and a 4th grader? I also seen IXL is possibly good and Time4learning for autism students, I'm trying to figure out what will work out best for us.

I've got a question for mommies. I've got an 11 year-old and 17 year-old who are both Autistic and have ADHD. I pulled them for several reasons, but the final straw was they each lost two grade levels from the beginning to the end of the year according to their state tests. They have both already been held back twice. My 17 year-old has the mentality of an 11 year-old hascmath and reading levels that hover at 5th grade and don't seem to budge.
Their capacity for sitting still is limited and I have been struggling with their attention spans and comprehension. My 11 year-old is progressing, but my 17 year-old is still struggling deeply.

My question is how many hours per day should I be having them work without overwhelming them?
I'm afraid I'm not doing enough, but they overwhelm easily and panic if I go too far.

I'm feeling like I'm failing and I'm pretty worried.
