There's something very wholesome about this guys videos. No ads, no silly gimmicks, no ranting about unrelated stuff, no ego, etc. Just a chill dude sharing his hobby & knowledge with whoever wants to watch and learn. Brilliant channel! 😊👍

Two things I love in this video: the safety towel and the old fire truck!

Ole Dustin needs a lot more subscribers. Not sure what we can do to help, but this young man deserves all he can get! Get the word out!

I’m so glad this made it to you and not the scrap yard. Thank you for what you’re doing. Our world sucks right now and seeing you saving the good ole days one by one warms my heart.

Fantastical. I will be 90 yrs old next year and so enjoy your mechanics and info. I once spent time doing what you are doing but rebuilding very old fork lifts while being employed with the Hyster Co in Portland, Oregon 1960s. Thank you for keeping our mind, spirits, and our memories alive. Greetings from Indianapolis , Indiana.

Maybe that big water pump is engaged and locked up? There should be a lever to disengage that pump. On our old 1928 LaFrance fire engine, it's a big lever on the left side about mid-ship, right level with the pump. It pokes through the running board, once again IIRC. I will take a look at our 28 LaFrance tomorrow when I go to work. Awesome stuff, man! I just love your videos of reviving these old forgotten classics! They all deserve to sing again!

My friend has an old Mack fire truck converted to a dump truck. He uses it to haul stuff around his farm. It still has all the fire truck stuff on the cab, lights, siren, spot lights etc.

That engine sounds really smooth. Also... There should be a lever that puts the transfer case in either "road" for traveling or "pump" for pumping water. That lever might have been in the wrong position.

There’s plenty of organizations affiliated with fire departments that are dedicated to restoring these old fire trucks. They’re often used in town parades and children’s events.I hope it sees a good home regardless.
