Join in with the RESTORED crew as they attempt to revive this 1962 American AMC Rambler 400. After discovering this car amongst many others at the Hutson Farm, the guys get her back to the shop and begin to discover what it's going to take to get this ol' girl on the road again. Finding a highly neglected engine compartment, completely overtaken by rodents, they dig through the debris only to find a highly seized engine. This may be one of the hardest revival videos they've taken part in! Will the guys be able to get this forgotten beauty running again or has she breathed her last breath?

I know the guys from Restored won't see this, but I did vote for the 67 Galaxy for the next restore. I have one that I bought from my Grand Father. He charged me $77.52 because that's what the taxes cost for the next old truck he bought. He told me he'd give me the car, but it wouldn't teach me anything if I got it for free. I drove that 67 Galaxy home on bias ply tires, nearly wrecking it cuz I didn't know that bias ply tires would follow every crack in the road lol. I still have the car today. She's a factory Blue with a White top, Factory Air that somehow still works. 390 with a 4 barrel conversion. I snatched a 4 barrel intake off a school bus ;) Bought a Holley 4 barrel and put a refurb kit in it. I love this old car! She's a cruiser!

You guys have a lot of love for old rusted cars. A lot of people would look at that car and say that it was not worth fixing. That engine reminds me of my neice. Stubborn as a mule.

Very Cool. I run the So Cal Rambler club and have rescued a few cars with seized up engines before, but this is AMAZING to see you revive this old girl! Very Cool.

Tenacity would be the word of the day. Way to go and way to persevere. There's an ever greater lesson here I believe. We need to remember that there are people, much like the old Rambler, that appear to have a chance of ever being RESTORED. But, if we spend some time, work hard with them, give them some firm, but gentle nudging and show them the love of Jesus we will be amazed at what God can do. Thanks so much for your hard work on this one. I had pretty much given up on the old Rambler, but you guys kept on going!! Success!! I sure am glad that there have been people in my life that have never given up on me, no matter how lost and froze up i seemed to be. God Bless! Guys I just found your channel, and this specific video brought back a lot of memories for me. In 1990 I was 15 years old, and bought my very first car, a 1961 amc rambler deluxe 4 door. All original, and in pretty bad shape under the hood and the interior, but the body was straight. My dad and I restored the interior as best we could, and tried to find someone who could work on the engine, old flat head 6 cylinder, 195 3.2 I believe it was. Finally found someone who knew how to work on it, but due to the lack of finding parts, couldn’t repair all of it. But we got it running enough for me to drive it to school everyday for a year…it had a hole in the manifold, and it sounded like a herd of tanks coming down the road. I bought it myself for $100, and sold it for $800, just to buy a 1963 Chevy 2 Nova. That was already restored for the most part, and lucked out finding it for only $500 in 1992. Bought it from a guy who had no use for it anymore because he couldn’t drive it. I loved that car, but sadly had to sell it for emergency reasons. I’ve always wanted to find another 63 Chevy 2 nova, if you know of anything anywhere, seriously, please let me know. Love that you guys restore old cars like this together, my dad and I did that before he passed.

The sound of that engine firing for the first time is what makes it all worth it. To be honest, I didn’t think this one was gonna get there. Good job fellas!

Great to see a Rambler getting some love! My dad had one just like this back in the early 1970s, when these little gems were practically give-aways. His was lite Blue.

Groovy old heap you hauled outta the brush pile. Just where you scored parts for her reclamation is a puzzle, but you got her huffing and even hauling again. You and your Pop have some talent to coaxing this old girl back to life. Great job.

There's no limit to the Wyatt dynamic duo. Unbelievable that car was able to move down the road. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. Excellent work guys, keep em coming. 👏

Awesome to see it running again...I just did this on an old bricklin a few weeks ago... Nothing like taking a stuck engine from years of sitting and hearing it run again... It's a rush!
