🤔Why 95% of Alaska is Empty?

Alaska is a massive state. It is the biggest US state by land area which is almost 7 times the size of the United Kingdom. To put this into perspective, if Alaska were a country, it would rank as the 16th largest in the world only behind Mexico and Indonesia.

However, despite being this massive in size, Alaska remains sparsely populated. A mere 0.2% of the U.S. population resides here.

So, what the hell is actually going on here?

You see, It’s brutally cold and rugged mountain ranges that's often Frozen with an average temperature ranging from zero degrees to negative 30 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes it difficult and challenging for infrastructure projects like building roads or railways.

Also, the state of Alaska is deeply separated from the rest of the United States that has limited Alaska's population so severely though.

I am from alaska idk why but i get pretty upset when our teacher shows us maps with alaska hella small on it, i love it but we moved to a different state. I understand its empty but a lot of people wanna go there because lakes freeze and you can go skating also because of the northern lights❤
