This video is amazing. I watched over 100 videos on various engine repair and you're the only one that gets right to the point doesn't introduce himself and talk about what we're going to do various things this and that blah blah blah. Thank you so much for getting right to the point speaking clearly concisely. Short and sweet. I wish more videos were like this. Thank you very much for your help

Very good bro. I will turn on my heater and it sounds like something knocking. It works. But my radiator was getting hot. I could hear it steaming after I turned off the engine .I waited about an hour and opened the cap and it still blew out steam. You and your family, stay healthy brother.✌️💙🏇🏇🏇

Here’s a trick to check the cooling fans just turn on your ac on max the ac system needs the fans to run to operate correctly. The fans after 2 to 3 seconds should fire up and run. If the fans work with the ac but the car still over heats with the ac off then check relays. The way it works is the computer will ground the cooling fan relays and turn the fans on since the fans can be run at different speeds you may have a few relays controlling the fans. The reason I say try the ac first is because if the fans run with the ac then that tells me you have a relay issue if the fans don’t come on with the ac then there might be something wrong with the fans themselves. The fans will always kick on with the ac turned on full blast.

Thank you so much - this has really helped me. My car heats up when at the stop light or slow driving in traffic - so now mechanics in my country won't lie to me - i am informed. Thank you so so much.

On my old Lincoln LS the procedure to de-air was to park the car on an incline. Meaning the front of the car higher than back. Open the coolant port and run the car with heat. This causes water to circulate and air to rise and exit out. After about 5-10min close it. Then use the bleed line. Some cars have a small port you can open and it bleeds out some coolant. For what it’s worth hope it helps someone

Appreciate it the way you clearly explained. Everything really helps us make a decision whether to replace a thermostat or not.

Mine was a clogged radiator. I bought a used car and discovered that there was tap water in the cooling system. Fast forward a few months and residue built up in the cooling fins. Had to replace cooling hoses and radiator. The engine also didn't have a thermostat so I just bought a new one and installed it.

If it is winter and freezing outside and you don’t have antifreeze or to much water mixed it will freeze in the block and over heat

I have a 2000 Acura RL and this started happening a week ago where my temperature goes up and then back down to normal and when it goes up I get scared thinking it's going to overheat but it never does I hope I can find the problem and fix it soon 👍

I’d like to add #8 I was having to add a large big gulp cup every day. I couldn’t find the leak for the life of me. No drips no where. I finally started ripping out the whole front end! Out of the corner of my eye I finally see a drip… the back side of the radiator cap!

Mechanics have been known to place thermostats in place upside down . Cylinder head gaskets that fail may cause these symptoms .

ive taken care of everything except the water pump and a couple of I added some fuel type cleaner to my gas tank and that is the only thing thats made a difference so far. carbon gunk does pileup sometimes. And I dont over do anything....I use only what the directions in the fuel cleaner says to do. But there was a gunk build up on the tailpipe so I thought of the fuel cleaner.
