If my return radiator hose is higher than the return port can that also cause overheating cause most of the things you have mentioned I have checked and the hose is the only thing that can be left

Sometimes over heating has nothing to do with no water or leaking or clogged radiator or fan not moving or water pump break down..wrong valves clearance or no lubricant in the engine.etc..They sometimes yes will cause overheating but not always the cause.Overheating also caused by bad transmission filter and its oil...causing transmission overheat and cause engine too will overheat...So just look if that can be the real problem.Overheating transmission will cause engine over heated.Change the transmission oil and filter.
