This young lady’s story still makes me so sad to this day. To know she was so close to liberation, so close to be being who she dreamed of being. What a loss.

she was cut like a flower before she had the chance to bloom fully and as a journalist or writer would have told us many interesting stories, had she lived to a ripe old age. R.I.P. Anne

My wife and I had the opportunity of visiting Anne Frank's home in Amsterdam last year 2018. It's everything and more because of the history in that home.

I was lucky enough to visit the house three years ago. It's one of the most chilling experiences in my life, I cried the whole way through. You couldn't help but feel a presence there. God bless Amsterdam and this relic of history 💖

I live in Holland and i remember going with my class when I was 13. Normally my class was verry loud. But the moment we really went in the house where Anne has been for a long time everybody went quiet and sometimes we said something but we said it really quiet. And when we got outside we all still were quiet. We all know her story and we seen many pictures but it doesn’t matter how many times you heard it, it still makes you quiet

I’m currently reading her diary and I can’t put it down. I have to force myself to put it away so I can study for my exams.

“I don’t want to have lived in vain like most people. I want to be useful or bring enjoyment to all people, even those I’ve never met. I want to go on living even after my death!” ~ Anne Frank

I first visited the house in 1986 and it was a completely different tour it felt much less touristy and it was given by a tour there weren’t any screen monitors and there wasn’t the new visitors center. Of course there were a lot less people, coming to see the house back then. It was much more personalized. We actually went up the staircase behind the bookcase. There weren’t any lines back then.

I remember as a kid in school reading Anne Frank's diary to watching the movie and I had hope Anne and her family would make it out alive but when I found out the truth I cried. I felt the sorrow of a little girl in hiding in isolation in fear but she still kept her hope.
