My favourite quote of Anne Frank is “in spite of everything I still believe people are good at heart.”

Its amazing how she was able to articulate and express her thoughts and feelings so well for her age.

I am from India and I used to read some parts of this book to the children of our house. Tears came out of my eyes.

This diary has not only helped me appreciate the world i live in more but hearing someone around my age express itself has really made realise lots of things and relate to almost each word she said. Its such a crazy world we live in though...

I'm reading version a of her diary right now, it never ceases to amaze me and I pray that all young people read a copy because I truly believe it will guide them and help them to appreciate their worlds.

I was visiting Amsterdam years ago and had gone to a music festival at the Melkweg (probably spelled wrong). I got ridiculously high on MDMA and decided to find a seat and chill. Soon I heard some really sad music playing. There were three men in front of a darkened stoop. They had a bass, a cello, and some other instrument--perhaps a violin. They were dressed in very dark clothing. There was a bench nearby so I sat down. Even though it was night, people kept walking up and taking pictures of me. My brain was somewhat muddled, so I didn't give it much thought at first. Finally after about the 4th time of having my photo taken, I decided to walk on. I stood up and noticed a plaque on a post. I had to cover one eye in order to read through my double vision, but it turned out I was sitting in front of the Anne Frank house and that's why people kept taking "my" picture. They were actually photographing the house!!

“It's really a wonder that I haven't dropped all my ideals, because they seem so absurd and impossible to carry out. Yet I keep them, because in spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.”
