I was doing it with the black video and making a mask on it, it worked as long as there were no fadeouts. when it faded out a weird line appeared by the lines. your method solved it!

Cool video. You may want to consider adjusting the aspect ratio in the sequence settings for optimal results. That way, you won't get black bars on the side when watching your videos on a wide screen.
