Ok. this is old, but I think there's a mistake in your math. I might be wrong, so please, correct me if I am. A 21:9 aspect ratio in decimals is 2, 333. If you divide 1920 / 16;9 (1, 778) you get 1079, 8, which surrounded is 1080. So, the correct resolution with a 21:9 aspect ratio would be 1920x824, no 803. Ok, it's only 20 pixels difference, but my nerd brain couldn't stop thinking about that 😂-.. Still, your content is really useful! Thanks! Grüße aus Köllefornia!

Now that is the proper way to put letterbox. Not just masking it on the screen, it's resizing the ratio of the screen.

Great video thanks! I do have a question if you have a custom settings under "edit mode" and you go to change to the math that you stated it says when you hot "okay" - "Changes to Preview File Format or to the frame size or to the color space require all preview files to be deleted. This operation cannot be undone." Is it best to do it this way? I'm afraid I might lose all the work I have done already
