Good video. Completely makes sense now why those first four episodes seemed like a steady progression and the last four seemed so disjointed. While I really enjoyed the Dragonseed episode, those last four seemed almost like placheholders or setups for future seasons. Not the way to build excitement, HBO.

I think they'll condense the timeline a bit. For example, merging both battles of Tumbleton into one and maybe merging the fish feed with the butchers ball. Battle of the red fork might only be referenced, but not shown.

I think the gullet, fall of KL and Tumbleton could make for an exciting season 3 even if it's only 8 episodes. The big moments in season 2 were Blood and cheese in episode 1, Rooks Rest in episode 4 and the red sowing in episode 6 and 7. Season 3 episode 1 could be the gullet, episode 4 could be the fall of KL and episode 7 can be Tumbleton. Episode 1 of season 4 can be the butchers ball, episode 4 can be the battle above the gods eye and episode 6 or 7 can be the storming of the dragon pit. All in all season 3 and 4 will be a blood bath lol.

Honestly they could've worked with 8 episodes. It's not even the lack of action and dragon battles that got me turned off this season, It's the awful brain dead writing, monotonous storytelling and character assassinations. I rewatched season 1 of GOT last week and god damn I could watch them just talking all day.
There was tension and conflict. It goes to show that a multimillion dollar budget and all the cgi in the world cant replace good writing & storytelling. HOTD, season 2 specifically, is just filled with shameless cameos, marvel-esque fan service, and nonsensical plot lines that veered too far from the book. They're literally making the same mistake as D&D. Well at least D&D had the excuse of running out of source material.

I went on to Max and clicked on House of the Dragon to find, with much surprise and dismay, that there was not a new episode. Why would you cut episodes from your most popular show? I imagine they will lose some fans from the unresolved Season 2 storyline, which will lead to losses and money
