I saw someone say Viserys messed up when he didn’t appoint Daemon as his hand. Hindsight is 20/20. You have to think about why Viserys kept Otto as his hand. Westeros loved Jaehaerys, so imagine how much trust and respect he would’ve lost if he removed the man his father trusted so much. Viserys made the right decision in that moment to make sure the realm stayed at peace.
