Back in San Francisco, the tension between the Nazis and Japanese is growing by the minute. The Germans come to the embassy to meet with Tagomi, a Japanese official, and basically imply that if that involves bringing Nazis to Japanese soil to find Juliana and the film, so be it. With Hitler ailing, it seems that war is on the horizon.

Of course, the Nazis are also dealing with the Resistance. While on his way to work, taking a different route every day to protect himself, the Obergruppenführer is attacked by a group of gunmen. His driver and right-hand man are shot and killed, but he manages to make it out alive. When he arrives at the Nazi headquarters, though, he makes it clear that this attack was coordinated, like many others, and meant to hurt the ranks of the Nazis. He’s not taking it lightly. I love how he walks over to the car to get the other guy's gun. He looks extremely annoyed and indignant. Even if it's for a few frames. Superb acting on that guy's part.

His man was truly loyal, he knew he was dead already so he tried to give him his pistol so he could keep fighting.

The series is called "The man in the high castle" is based on the book of the same name from the excellent author Phillip K. Dick, the idea is that this is an alternate reality where the Nazi had won, the show is kinda fateful to the book,

But IMO
The show started great but it burned out very quickly by the last season, character arcs where completly destroyed and it lost the awesome universe it had been created.

This show would have been much better if, instead of the multiverse angle, it had focused on John Smith and his struggle between being a good Nazi and a good American.

Rufus Sewell is one of the most serious, stoic, scary looking guy. He gives off such angry dad vibes. 😂

The assassination attempt had heavy shades of actual Heydrich attempt..

The first few seasons of this show were amazing. I feel like they killed off too many main characters as the years went on.

Smith is one of the few characters I actually liked in the show. He was competent, had a kind side, cared about his family more than anything else, and wasn't a true believer. Everything he did was done to keep his family safe, ironically losing his family in the process. He's a tragic villain done right, and I really wish we had gotten more of him. Rufus did an amazing job playing him!

I’ve been a fan of Rufus Sewell ever since Dark City. An underused actor imo.

Obergruppenführer Smith was the highlight of "The Man in the High Castle." On the other hand, Juliana Crain was the complete opposite, even though she was the series's protagonist!

Rufus Sewell, underrated bad guy portrayer of the century. Not flashy, not bombastic. Just calm calculated methodical and thorough. Like Joaquin Phoenix but underrated and more subdued in his delivery without being languid.

You’ve got multiple assassins firing automatic at close proximity but still manage to miss everything while this dudes makes precise kill shots….under suppressed fire.

That finale really derailed everything.

Great actors across the board for this show, but especially Rufus Sewell playing Smith here.
