The drone shots were filmed outside of park boundaries, looking in (as always but this usually needs to be clarified). This trip was in Pukaskwa River Provincial Park FYI....Pukaskwa National Park starts farther downriver.

I can picture it in my mind. Jon yells to Erin "I'm leaving now Honey" "Going on a 2 week trip with Xander". Erin yells back, "Have a good time! "You havent forgotten anything have you?" "Don't be silly" Jon hollers "This isn't my first rodeo" "I got everything!"

The amount of time, quality equipment and effort you put into your videos rewards all of us. Don’t think it goes unappreciated, your work is second to none. Thank you for the enjoyment you give your viewers.

I've already seen Xander's 3 Part series, so this is like a prequel! Looking forward to your video from the trip.

The canoeing and camping will always be the heart of your videos, but I really enjoy when you throw in more of the mapping, route planning, and remote sensing you utilize to scout and explore routes. It's an integral part of being prepared for most any trip and highlights the tools to get that done. Let's face it, maps are just cool when you realize the picture they can paint without being somewhere yourself.

Just had surgery yesterday and am laying in bed missing canoeing and this is going to be perfect for how crappy I’m feeling layed up. This is probably the beginning of binge watching Lost Lakes for the rest of the day!! Thanks a ton! Couldn’t come at a better time! Cheers!

At 16:00 you speak of sacrifice. These are things we all should be willing to do in all aspects of life. They make better, stronger, and more capable people. And in the senior years as I am in, it gives us lots of wisdom and perspective. You've made a fine point.

I just had a hell of a day, crawled in bed and told myself I need to watch an episode of Lost Lakes. Thanks so much.

Always great to pre scout a long trip. Even an area you’re familiar with. From year to year changes to the landscape/water can occur like beaver dams, downed trees and so on. Enjoyable as always. Looking forward to your series you the trip. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.

Yessir! That’s gonna be one heck of a trip. I already got a taste of what to come from XB.
The words Epic and Classic will forever be associated with this adventure I’m betting.
I’m glad I’m able to get early access. Thanks Jon

Great perspective of some pre-trip recon! It's fun seeing your excitement leading up to such a big adventure. Xander's perspective so far has been entertaining to say the least, and I'm very much looking forward to your video when it comes! Keep it up Jon, your enthusiasm is contagious.

I love your stuff! My only complaint is your videos always make me hungry. When I was younger and took trips our meals were jerky, Dinty Moore canned stew, or peanut butter and jelly. You really know how to plan and prepare meals. Photography and editing are excellent. Keep up the good work.

Awesome Jon, looking forward to your version of the trip. I just finished a fishing trip with my Dad on Esnagi Lake last week out of White River - beautiful wilderness for sure.

You can’t wait to do the trip. I can’t wait to see it. Sounds epic. Really interesting to see the trial and error down the forestry roads. That park along Superior just seems so impenetrable.

Very well said about the sacrifices while camping and comfort at home. I love how you articulated the learning aspect of being out in the wild. Awesome video as always, Jon!

Yes, excellent video, cannot wait to see the next, and that said, just got back from my first solo camping trip, wow, three nights at a small provincial park, more or less to practice with the kit, set up camp and stuff, kayaking, fishing, but weeds were nasty.

But you can see how challenging all that is, I over-prepped, but also under-prepped, a sleeping bag liner and a wool blanket - nope, it got cold, and my lighting, nice but inadequate, then there is the creep factor, so sleep how can I say, was minimal, next time I will make the improvements.

Of course, I can see why you mention the critical path and preparation, much to coordinate without creating extra burdens, for sure, what you are doing demands a massive skill set that is ever-evolving.

Best!
