In case people were wondering, I also had an emergency fire starter kit (including lighters and fire starter) and first aid kit. Which I chose not to use as it wasn't part of the challenge I set myself. Hope y'all have a great day

The biggest thing I appreciate the most about these type of survival videos, is the amount of extra effort you put in to set up a camera to make it look like you’re walking off, when in reality you had to pick a spot, set it up, walk your path, THEN come back and pack everything back up. Obviously I appreciate all the knowledge you show, but everything just shows how much effort you put into making a great video for us

This is the most relaxing video ever. Normally I can’t watch more that 5mins of a normal video let alone sitting through the whole 45mins of Xander and not even pausing the video. So great full I came across your channel today massive eye opener about nature and how to treat it with the right respect.

I gotta say, first video ever, and I just love how caring you are about the environment, with being really sad about the frog, explaining laws, and that it’s not going to waste. Really shows a whole new level of care and love for the world.

I love how his cheers after he catches the fish echo through the landscape. It really just captured the feeling of success so well. I felt like I was there with him.

I love how you say thank you to the frog, fish, yourself, etc. Such a simple yet profound act that humbles us with all we have already ❤

People don’t understand how difficult and time consuming making these videos are. Has to walk, place the camera, walk back, and then walk again. Thank you for this awesome and educational video! Can’t wait for more! 👍

Seeing a body of water without a boat in sight makes me tear up every time because I fear nature like this someday won't exist. Thank you for sharing your experience in such a humble way.

The pacing, the shots, the sound, the music, the informative information and the overwhelming urge to do this myself. This was amazing to watch, it went so fast.

I love the old abandoned cabin foundation. It sparks the imagination to think how old it was and who built it and enjoyed it.

I think I almost got as much joy from you catching that fish as you did, that feeling must be so rewarding.

I just cant get over that log cabin. I'm a huge history nerd and it's so cool to see nature taking stuff back. I love these places where there is a trace of human life left. I wonder what stories happened in this cabin, when was it built, when was it abandoned. My guess is that it was abandoned/ taken down in the 1850s judging by the environment around it.

I love how untouched it all looks/is. Makes you realize how tiny we are as humans compared to the vastness of the wilderness.

What I think is really nice about this video is that you really see the cycle of food chains, and you see the cycle of life, for you to survive, the frog and fish must go, and to see the connection between the cycle of life and death for overall survival got me feel amazing. I loved this video.

Wow man, first time watching one of your videos and I am blown away. I enjoyed every minute of this clip. Seeing you being grateful for your location, the frog, the fish and in general what mother nature has provided was very fulfilling and also watching you reflect on your learnings, loosing the fire starter and how to improve upon your bowdrill skills ... I was actually literally "feelling" all those moments with you and verbalizing/cheering along which happens rarely when I watch a video. Thanks a lot for taking me with you on this little adventure! Will follow you along for more trips like this!
