That is not what bandwidth means. Bandwidth is the maximum amount of data that can move from one point to another it is a data rate which is constant and depends on the link. What you are explaining is totally different.

Bandwidth is one of the hardest things to explain. Its not really a measurement in the classic sense. Time is more important in its definition. How many mega bits per second the network will pass through.
