Elden Ring - New Leyndell, Royal Capital skip on current patch (1.09)

I find it easier to walk off at the beginning using K+M, because there is a dedicated button on the keyboard that makes your character walk slowly which by default it is the "Alt" button.

After you walk off to the ledge make sure you are close to the wall, move the camera around until you are facing south and 1 tick to the west on your compass and then aim with your bow and cancel the aim so your character changes direction, then backstep and immediately press/move forward so you can change your character's direction midair, otherwise your character might slip when you land on the ledge.

Getting onto the first little ledge is trickier than it looks, but once you're there the position setup and backstep aren't too bad. still be ready to quick out if you miss the second ledge though, it'll load you back onto the first one which saves some time

Still working on PS5 (1.010).
Just use the telescope, do a backstep and align your character to the wall when falling. Tried different setups (Two Handing, Dual Wield...) all working perfectly well.

I tried it and it definitely works for those who are confused. If you are, try this.

Once you get to the corner part and aim with your bow, you will do a back step while still aiming with your bow, it’s the same as a regular back step but with the extra precision given to us by the OP

Once you make it to the final ledge to jump off of. Basically just sprint to the corner then turn then jump almost simultaneously. But don’t use all of your stamina running there of course. But yeah, sprint then

still works, walk onto the ledge using alt if on keyboard, then line up with bow double click shift and try to land on ledge! gotta test it more but hand of malenia 2/2 doing the backstep instead of using the bow idk why this item makes me land it more

What key are you hitting making the second jump? I aim the bow and then completely miss the second ledge

What the heck is "backstepping" in this game? Besides the backwards quickstep, which obviously isnt happening here, and during target lock, you cant walk backwards, no? Im on console. EDIT: Nevermind, i gotcha. Haven't pulled it off yet, but, im practiced enough to at least momentarily land on target. Thanks either way. Cool ass trick that only a bow user thinks up. LOVE BOWS!
