Horrors of Leyndell (Mr. Incredible Becoming Uncanny) - Elden Ring #shorts

Who would've thought that the brightest area in the game also has one of the most disturbing ones. Elden Ring's Leyndell was one of the areas I was really excited to see because it was right next to a bright af tree. I never would've expected that it would hold the darkest and scariest area too. The brightest light cast the darkest shadow after all.

The symbolism of chaos hiding right under the golden order is nuts

"For all its glory, the City of Leyndell, on the surface, is like a thin layer of gold. A coating, which can be easily scratched away to reveal the undercity beneath, full of horrors."

Something I really admire about the sewers is that the deeper you go, the more reasons you find to do the Flame of Frenzy ending.

Me before going to the capital: Rannis ending is what i'm going here for

Me after getting to the flame of frenzy: MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD

I didn’t even get out of the first sewer area before Melina told me “hey don’t burn the world” and I went “Sounds good to me!” and dipped out.

I like the whole level is basically trying to convince you to burn the whole world through the dark secrets of the golden order that you slowly uncover as you descend more and more into the wells of leyndell, basically showing you how fucked the world is

Seeing the dead merchants was honestly heartbreaking for me, especially after delving into the lore about them

When you realize the “warrior pots” going to die around minor Erdtrees where basically acting as fertilizer due to all the bodies they had within them

I always find it so unsettling that the most beautiful tune in the game is in the most disturbing place. When I went to get the frenzied flame ending, I stopped for about an hour or so and sat next to the lonely merchant playing his instrument

This actually fits the format so fucking well it’s almost too perfect

And the craziest thing is that it doesn't even end after that. There's a lot farther down you can go into the Lleyndell Depths

Reminds me that Kale has one of the longest pieces of cut content from the game. His dialog would span the entire playthrough until it led you here, allowing him to truly speak on his anger

I think that's why Melina begged you not to enter. Because when you see the dead merchants, you will be more inclined to take the frenzied flame out of rage.

The "omen baby" is actually a doll made in the visage of a baby omen made to memorialize the death of one, and carries the phrase "Please don't hate me, or curse me. Please." in its description

Which honestly makes the whole encounter almost as sad, the poor omen just wanted peace, and to remember the death of a fellow omen who never grew up.
