Facebook is garbage. I regret ever being a part of it. I left it a few months back and I do not miss it.

I left years ago, and hate, Hate, HATE Facebook to this day.

What I REALLY HATE are the BUSINESSES whom use it for their website. I have lost count of the restaurants whose menus are inaccessible, and therefore lose my money. Oh well.

Facebook is trying to do nothing but evade and elude responsibility.

I've stopped using facebook for nearly a year now..Got tired of the newsfeeds and nonsense.. It used to be great for keeping in touch with friends but now it's just toxic.

Much as I loathe Facebook, *ruthlessly exploiting your customers and endangering their lives* is a standard American business practice, isn't it?

I don't understand how millions of people voluntarily allow personal data about them to be commodified into making billions by one guy. The world is a strange place.

New rule, if you are making money off of speech, you can be held accountable for allowing lies that lead to violence.

I terminated my account on Facebook about 6 months ago and never felt more liberated. Just a social cesspool and damaging to relationships.

“If all you had ever felt toward another person were the cold wish to “win, ” how would you understand the meaning of love, of friendship, of caring? You would not understand. You would simply go on dominating, and denying, and feeling superior. Perhaps you would experience a little emptiness sometimes, a remote sense of dissatisfaction, but that is all.”
― Martha Stout, The Sociopath Next Door

At its heart Facebook makes money by making people angry. They profit by making you so angry you can't look away. No thought to how that anger impacts your health, your relationships, your concentration at work, like a pusher with a drug they don't care as long as they own your eyeballs.

Facebook and Twitter were negligent from 2016 to the current .

As a top-scoring nerd in highshcool when FB came out, I didn't like how it changed interaction. What used to be an in-person conversation, or even a phone call would become a self-serving commune of posting and liking instead of interacting. This was before knowing it would have a power-hungry CEO that holds no qualms with whoring out it's customers privacy for profit. If only more people would think of the consequences of their choices, this kind of abuse would never be permitted. Now FB has a stockholm-esque grip on their victims, and the damage is done. What recourse remains? Please think, so you can escape.

Nationalize public means of communication including social media. Corporate greed has divided this country.
