Eat Like This to Be Lean Year Round

If you want to know how to eat to stay lean year round, then there is a simple method that I use myself that I think you can benefit from too. Remember, to lose weight and get lean, you need to maintain a calorie deficit. The best way to do this is by giving yourself an eating strategy that will set you up for success.

I always say, if you fail to prepare, then you prepare to fail.

How does that relate to your diet and nutrition? Well, preparing your foods ahead of time can set you up for long term weight loss success. The easiest way to do this is to buy your food and prepare it in bulk. This means that you will have every meal planned out and ready for you when you need to eat.

This will ensure that there are no slip-ups in your eating habits if you are lacking time to cook your food on that particular day. The way I do this is by ordering from a catering menu from my local grocery store, Stew Leonard’s.

If you purchase your food from the catering menu, you will have all the food you need, already prepared, in bulk. Just portion out your food and freeze it so that when it’s time to eat, all you have to do is heat it up. This is a game changer for anyone trying to lose weight or get lean and struggles with preparing their food each and every day.

This is a proven method for staying consistent with your nutrition and making sure that you can achieve those lower body fat levels you’ve been fighting for. That consistency will also make sure that you stay lean year round.

This is so true. Eating correctly is the hardest part of trying to get fit. I can basically live at the gym, but I have zero willpower when it comes to food.

Something to look forward to if this housing market ever gets better: getting a larger freezer.

Amazing advice! When I don't have something prepared, my mind starts thinking about all the different things I can have, but if it's already in the fridge, I don't want to waste it and just go with that

This helps with college too. Prepare a big batch of food on Saturday, divide it up into a week’s worth of meals, put some in the freezer and some in the fridge. Then just microwave each container to have a quick and easy meal. Only works if you have access to a kitchen and fridge/freezer, of course. Doing that got me through lots of final exams where I didn’t have time to prep and cook each meal every day

I have fallen off the plan so many times, but this past weekend I have picked myself up again and am making sure I log my calories because that's what I find keeps me on track. One of these days I will finally see my 6 pack abs.

I love him. When I started my weight loss journey, he was the first athlete that I followed and watched to learn from him❤❤

I agree 100%, meal prep is key. It works for me.

So on point here. I've got chicken, potatoes, carrots, broccoli, onions and mushrooms, but I don't feel like cooking; so I'm eating white bread and honey, a bit of cereal and milk (over-processed rubbish, even if it's 'healthy') and I've fallen off.

I guess I need to buy more containers, make meals again. I think I've got two or three and they're too big. He's right, you have to prep.

The broccoli and carrots cook fast, but everything else can be prepped, maybe with some avocado. It's a lot, but I can make it all and ration it out. Diet discipline is tough.
