Fun fact: if you had nasal congestion it's probably mucus but if you haven't it could be dead bacteria if you have fought off a cold or infection, if you haven't it's the following:
Fungal infection
Dehydration
Dry mouth
Leukoplakia (which can develop into oral cancer)
And biting your tongue

Btw. I use my screper and even sometimes go a bit rough, but can't completely get the white off...might there be something else one can do to remove it as well?

A white tongue can have various causes, and it's important to note that I'm not a doctor or healthcare professional. However, here are some potential causes for a white tongue:

1. Oral Thrush: Oral thrush, also known as candidiasis, is a fungal infection caused by the Candida fungus. It can result in a white or yellowish coating on the tongue and other areas of the mouth.

2. Leukoplakia: Leukoplakia refers to the formation of thick white patches on the tongue or other parts of the mouth. It can be caused by chronic irritation, such as from tobacco use or rough teeth, and may require further evaluation by a healthcare professional.

3. Dry Mouth: Insufficient saliva production or dry mouth can contribute to a white coating on the tongue. This can occur due to dehydration, certain medications, mouth breathing, or underlying health conditions.

4. Poor Oral Hygiene: Inadequate oral hygiene can lead to the buildup of bacteria, food particles, and dead cells on the tongue, resulting in a white or yellowish coating.

5. Mouth Breathing: Breathing through the mouth instead of the nose can lead to dryness and potential white tongue discoloration.

6. Other Conditions: Certain medical conditions, such as oral lichen planus or oral hairy leukoplakia (associated with Epstein-Barr virus), may cause white patches or changes on the tongue.

If you have concerns about a white tongue or any oral health issues, it's best to consult a dentist or healthcare professional who can provide an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment based on your specific situation. (From ChatGPT)

I looked at my tongue and it had a bunch of that that white stuff so I want to brush my teeth and my tongue and then I put mouthwash and I gargled it and then it fell all that white stuff off and now it’s all clean

One question...is it really bad if you have an (kinda) "ripped" tounge with a "crack" through the middle?

If yes, could one do something to "repair" it or not?

...if not, then could you please tell how?
