Lucky my mum was a nail tech, so I did get told about this. Unfortunately having a mum who used to be a nail tech means I can’t get nails till I’m over 20 and get weekly nail grooming (which I don’t really complain about😂)

Well, as @DivaLion11 said so eloquently “My mom wouldn’t teach me this cause she’s not a nail tech…” and I shall 2nd that….she DID do her own nails though and taught me a few tricks along the way. Where nail bits are concerned, she taught me to have a little bowl of baby powder to dip a bit in prior to using the drill (It was a Dremmel back then LOL and we both still have all our digits!) so that the bit would not get caked in DNA. Works like a charm on all metal bits as well as ceramic and for the sake of NO cross contamination (I am a Nurse Practitioner LOL and the Germs STOP here!) I would just sprinkle the Baby Powder on vs “dipping” it into a bowl or a baby food jar as she always had in her “Nail kit/box”. And truly, baby powder really does work. Not Cornstarch, nor baking soda….those do not cut it. Baby powder. Of all things. PLUS, it has not contained Talc in YEARS so it is super safe now!
Give it a shot ladies. It works!

I'ma preface this with I only work in gel, but a little soapy water (which I always rinse dirty tools in before disinfecting) and a nail brush, does just fine for me, but maybe liquid and powder acrylic is tougher 🤷‍♀️

And this can also help with the sharpness; not risking cutting anyone (I was told that)
