SpaceX Starship BACK on the Pad! NASA's SLS Artemis 1 Launch (abort!), Falcon 9 Breaks Mass Records!

This has been another difficult week for me to cover because there was SO MUCH to squeeze into a ~10 minute video! SLS is ready to fly for the very first time, and SpaceX Starship Superheavy Booster 7 is on the orbital launch mount with all 33 Raptor Engines, undergoing its latest test campaign alongside Ship 24. We saw 2 launches from China, Falcon 9 broke its current mass to LEO record, and we got some stunning new images from the James Webb Space Telescope! Enjoy!

Check out Cosmic Perspective's amazing Ship 20 and Booster 7 Static Fire video!

Edit: Scrub! The launch of the Artemis I mission was aborted due to a problem with RS-25 engine number 3. Hopefully we'll see this beast fly before the week is over! The earliest next launch opportunity will be 02 September.

-This is your 6 hour warning! Watch SLS live here!-

POV: you’re watching this while waiting on the side of the road for SLS to launch

Waking up at 3 am both times to see SLS launch only for it to be delayed is always a great feeling!

It is unfortunate that the launch was scrubbed but it is all for good reason, it helps ensure that the launch of the rocket goes not only smoothly but also perfectly. We waited before, we can wait a little more.

SLS seems to be the most efficient rocket at delaying its maiden flight

I was at school when SLS was scheduled to launch so I was super excited to watch your vid to see what happened when I got back. Its nice having a reliable space news source.

so excited that SLS will finally be launching! I wish I could have made it out to florida to watch the launch, but I’ll be sure to be sitting by watching NASA’s broadcast of the launch! truly a piece of history.
