It's obvious hardcore fans won't be satisfied with the end result, but with how hard you're trying to make it a faithful remake, while still modernizing the general gameplay design, is no easy task, and I wish you best of luck.

Silent 2 Remake game deserves to be crowned as GAME OF THE YEAR in 2024. Reasons & causes:
1. Improved atmosphere & visuals, with the latest graphic technology, this game tells a more profound & impressive psychological horror atmosphere updating the creepy experience of the classic version Silent Hill 2.
2. Improved emotional narrative story about guilt & redemption of James Sunderland becomes stronger with improved cutscene dialogue presenting an impressive narrative experience.
3. Superior audio design, sound effects & suspenseful music are produced in high quality, increasing the fear & tension throughout the game.
4. Enhanced game with updated game mechanics to provide more responsive controls without sacrificing strategic elements that keep players feeling tense.

I'm seeing a lot of improvements. Angela looks like she isn't having an allergic reaction anymore, and it's cool to finally see Eddie.
Hoping we get the Dog ending in this, and all the others of course, but that one was always golden

I'll be honest, it's going to be hard to recapture that feeling of playing silent hill 2 for the first time again, if not impossible, so I'm glad they're trying to do something a bit different with it while remaining true to the original.
