Whats funny is he helps james move on. He pushes james down the hospital to hwere he needs to go. He stands behind metal bars. He shows james to fight back and he kills mari so james doesn't get stuck with the past but moves on. And when james fights back he kills himself with a spear. Also he only gets the great knife after james gets the knife.

Love the character. But the reason he was so fascinating as a kid is because if the mystic and mystery surrounding him. If he’s put in these other games without it making sense you take the weight away from such a character. That being said, I love him so much I always welcomed a sighting regardless 😊

I think you can find an explanation of why PH is around even after silent hill 2. Like he is a creature that was born out of such self hatred, that the city could not get rid of him anymore and so he became a being that appears to punish the worst of the worse.

In my head cannon, Pyramid Head did not exist until James made it so in SH2, his guilt/regret etc. was so strong that it turned Pyramid Head from James personal demon into a 'living' being the the SH Universe and into its continued role and lore.

Never understood him being in any game outside of Silent Hill 2. He's supposed to be tied to James, so without him, Silent Hill needs to manifest a new entity to punish each person individually. Another example you could use is that, without Angela being in Silent Hill at the same time as James, he/we would never have met Abstract Daddy. That creature was unique to her.

RPT got done dirty after getting forced into everything after SH2 when it was SPECIFIC to James and SH2.

It's also a bastardization of the executioners from the cult, who wore large, pointed, red hoods and you can see a photograph of these hooded cult members in the Historical Society.

I don't vibe with any of later games' take on pyramid head. He's the manifestation of james' desire for punishment after what he has done to mary. *nothing more, nothing less.* the movies/future games shouldn't have forced pyramid head into a narrative that he simply doesn't belong in just because he is popular.

There's two iconic things that makes you sure it's a silent hill, the pink bunny doll and pyramid head
