Adding a fan, or two is a really good idea. Keep the air circulating to aid in drying, and to cut down on any mold that might want to move in. A good fan is very inexpensive to run 24/7- 365.

Love your content. You've carved out a great life for yourself. Well done, young man.

You are so lucky to have access to a portable sawmill. Just wondering, if your storage was insulated and had a dehumidifier, would it cut down on the drying process quicker? Or is drying it too quickly a way of creating more cracks???

I was digging out a splinter at the same time you were.

Thats about as fine of wood working as I get. +/- 1/16” on rough cut lumber 😂

Im kind of surprised it drys that well inside with minimal air flow. I did that once with a birch stack and it grew mushrooms in the stack 😂😂

Just curious why there isn't dehumidification, heat, or other active drying set up? Related to the question, have you watched "The Thoughtful Woodworker" tour of his backyard lumber kiln? Square footage for his building and yours seems relatively similar.

Ever thought of a dehumidifier? Would that be helpful?

With respect to Wagner and you, Govee has a similar sensor, which I have two of an older model, that looks like it does the same exact thing as the Smart Logger, for up to a 1/10 of the price. Is there anything that really stands out for you for the Smart Logger which someone might purchase the Smart Logger over a Govee?
