Sadly my parents couldn't see you in concert when you were in Glasgow.
My parents had their tickets to see you for years because it was anniversary present from all of us kids to our mum and dad, they were looking forward to seeing you but unfortunately my mum became very, very ill in February and we nearly lost her with a 24% survival chance of recovery. Thankfully she pulled through and is working her way to recovery a step at a time.
She's home now but she was quite sad that she missed the opportunity to hear you live instead of on the screen so she has set a goal for herself, Mr Rieu.
*Get better, get an RV and go see Andre Rieu at one of his concerts in Maastricht with my dad*

So expect a very special woman coming to see you some time in the future.

I think what a lot of people miss is the fact that this is played on bagpipes and drums and is so damn powerful it’s relevant to any time period. Pick anytime in history. The Iraqi War, WWI, 100 Hundred Years’ War?. As festive as it sounds, imagine patrolling an area or about to charge into a territory that is playing this in the fog. Unreal to this day!
