Wow I have not picked up a needle in over 30 years. My stepmom taught me as a young child and I would crochet for hours. Looking back it was her way of helping me with ADD. Mikey, your tutorial is wonderful. The way you are explaining everything not only on how to complete a stitch but why. Being able to understand the 'why' helps the process. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and braking it down into such a simplistic manner. I saw on Pinterest the most beautiful Starlight Mint Christmas blanket, watched a video on it and my head exploded. Now after watching you in this one video I know it's something I will be able to accomplish. Thank you for helping me gain the knowledge and skills to be able to make something meaningful for my mother.

Yes! As a newbie to the world of crochet I had to undo the baby blanket I just completed 4 times until I had the edges straight! But I did it. But I’m going to bookmark this video because I need constant reminders of what each stitch is. So thank for your obvious awesomeness!!

I've been crocheting for about 6 years. Was taught by watching YouTube videos. I've watched many of your videos! But I skipped all the beginner stuff! This is the first beginners tutorial which I've watched, that is truly for us beginners!!! I was finally able to learn the steps for all the basic stitches. I will still need to practice a bunch, but I'm finally not overwhelmed with learning!! Thank you so much for this fabulous video.
