CROCHET: Teach your child to crochet (Learn to make a slip knot and chain stitch) | April Towriess

For this tutorial I got the kids involved, together we teach you the basics of getting started on your crochet journey. This video is aimed at adults teaching children to crochet but is a great video for anyone looking to learn.

Within this tutorial we show you how to hold your hook and yarn, create a slip knot and work a chain stitch. There are also a few ideas about what yu can create with your finished chain stitch.

What you will need:
🧶 Chunky yarn
(Aran, chunky, super chunky, cord are a good starting place - Nothing too textured or splitty)
🧶 Crochet hook
(I recommend a hook between 8mm - 20mm)
🧶 Scissors
