Hey guys sorry for not posting this sooner but here is the video results of me sending my bag in to the leather surgeons.

Your bag came back looking amazing! I recently purchased a vintage lambskin Chanel bag and it’s in need of some minor tlc, it’s a 25 years old but she looks great for its age. I’m thinking about sending her to the leather surgeons for some repairs but I am FREAKING OUT about what they might do to it 😩 since
I’m in love with my bag. I sent gerry a long email explaining the things I want done to the bag, I hope I don’t fall out of love with it. 😔

The exterior of your bag was in decent shape beforehand—how did it feel to touch afterwards? I’m a little nervous about how my lamb skin will feel and the condition of my bag is similar to yours. Structure is the biggest issue.

I have this exact bag and I’m trying to get them re-gild the cc and turnlock but they said they can’t out of fear they may break it because of how old the bag is 😩 I’m frustrated lol

So I'm concerned about the texture changing since losing the buttery lambskin feeling is sort of a deal breaker for me. Have you tried conditioning it afterwards? If you did, did it help with getting back the original texture.
