Thank you for sharing your experience. The same thing just happened to my Chanel black caviar leather bag. After using a sensitive cleanser, I waited three days and then applied a pure hydrating product, waiting another three days afterward. Unfortunately, the bag now feels sticky and soft to the touch and has lost its shine completely. I'm wondering if the hairdryer method might work on caviar leather as well.

For all my leather goods, I love using the Cadillac boot and shoe leather lotion, have to make sure it’s the lotion option because there are other variations. It will both clean and condition your bag, one and done. You just have to buff it gently with a microfiber cloth. I have tried several leather conditioners and the Cadillac is the one I prefer the most. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for another alternative.

Thanks for the review! After watching you for a few weeks about your Chanel experience, I decided to order a pre-loved lambskin maxi as a “push” present! So nervous as it’s my first Chanel and I don’t really know what to expect. But I am looking forward to seeing if I like the bag or not in real life and if I keep it I will be getting a couple of products to clean. Would you recommend only the anti bac + dermo? If I wanted to just mildly clean and protect the bag that is 10 years old and in great condition?

Hi! If it makes you feel better, I did send one to the leather surgeons and the leather came back a little dull as well. Although I definitely recommend them, I think treating the leather will regardless make the bag a little dull. And by the way, yours is looking absolutely gorgeous! 🤍🤍

Thank you for this video! What are your thoughts on using wet wipes (water based, non-alcohol ones) and the UV light sterilizer on your Chanel? Because of Covid-19 I'm scared to use my bag outside.. 😬 i checked the antibacterial cleanse online but i dont think they deliver to the Philippines and if ever they do, for sure it will be expensive, so still checking on other alternatives. Plus im scared to clean my bag on my own... haha afraid to ruin it...
