Wall Lean Progression
Показать описание
This progression is a great warmup tool to use prior to your linear speed drills. This creates context; leaning forward will teach the athlete good torso positioning and leg action required during acceleration mechanics.
More importantly, it comes down to coaching and execution of the movement.
Here are the steps to building a great wall drill:
1. Establish a natural lean with shoulders in front and hand on the wall-same level.
2. Maintain a neutral spine alignment and stiff core
3. Active flexion-knee up (90degrees)
4. Purposeful extension-driving foot down
After doing a couple flexion and extension, I do a drill called "1-2-3" in which you switch leg 1, 2, and 3 times in a quick manner.
