The iPad does not turn on but it just shows the low battery symbol when pressing the power button.
I show you how to fix this easily without any tools. Just by using your hands.
Once you get your iPad started, Recover your photos by copying your documents and Pictures out of the device as soon as possible, no, do it immediately! :)

THANK YOU! I was about to perform battery surgery and tried these steps. At first, nothing....just the same battery logo and no booting up. Then I plugged into iTunes, did the same steps, PLUS pressed each button 3 times after reboot attempts, and it worked. I’m stunned.

1:50 - Thank you. This helped me get my iPad Pro 2015 into recovery mode. I only had to count to four seconds.

So with the dead battery screen displayed, I held the power and home button down, and the moment the screen went black into a hard reset, I counted to four seconds and then let go of the power button while still holding the home button. And I successfully entered the DFU recovery mode. You know it worked when holding the power button does nothing, and pressing the home button does nothing. You're in this "black screen of nothing". (If you do the power and home button hard reset again, you'll exit and go back to the dead battery screen).

Once in the "black screen of nothing" DFU recovery mode, plugging the iPad into a computer with iTunes worked. The computer saw the device, and immediately prompted with "you are in DFU recovery mode, either restore from backup or factory reset the device".

In my case, I factory reset the device. iTunes downloaded the recovery operating system software, and it went to work and wiped the device clean. The iPad came to life with the "hello" cursive screen. 👍

So either it was a bad iOS update, or the battery is 9 years old and it's time to trade it in for something else.

(Also sidenote, the blow dryer "heat the battery up" trick did not work for me. 🤷‍♂️)
