It's plain and simple. These guys just aren't trained to deal with weapons. And the arts that do train to defend against them deal mostly with fantasy attacks. We just have to be real. I knife attacker is not easy to defend against.

I think the only videos i watched with an effective hits against the knife was long range kicks...side kick and front kick
For now kickboxing/Muai thai is the only effective martial arts against a knife attack really.

sure he will get stabbed, but the other guy is using protection. I doubt he would continue attacking normally if he was receiving de punches directly on his head
