Hello, pioneers! I hope you're well!

This episode has so many ups and downs, I could never decided if I wanted to laugh or cry. So I did both!

We dive deeper into Quantum Crystals and unlock most of their secrets. Sure...it took me over 10 hours of head-scratching, but that's what I'm here for. I did it all so you don't have to. So sit back, relax, and enjoy all the benefits of logistic robots and a centralized storage so amazing, I don't think you're going to believe it. Seriously.

Oh man this is awsome stuff. My mind is racing.
Yeah, keeping your inventory refilled is very convenient and all, but.... this is the *perfect bus* with unlimited merging and splitting... oh jeez perfect modular setup, pull ingredients, control with belt speed, split what you need per machine, merge the products right back in. Need more product later? No problem, just slap down another output add a few machines and you're good.
This is groundbreaking.
How much you store doesn't even matter as long as you have enough ingredients going in, you can pull out what you need.
might even be too much

Yeah, that's about how I envisioned it when I saw the last episode! So great!

Well done on the 1k subs. I loved how future you kept commenting on what was going to happen. I was hoping that the vanilla game might at some point have teleporting resources. I doubt that if it did it would go into such intricate minutia. That took so much time, but it seemed entertaining to get through it.

Congrats on 1k subs, first of all, well done! 🙂
I swear, everytime you think to yourself in SF+, "this is going to be easy", the game goes "MUAHAHA, you silly goose, see you in 8 hours!" It is awesome. I am honestly not sure I would even have considered tinkering with the Nexus without this video. Thanks for slugging through all the frustration to figure it out for the rest of us 😀
My caterium factory is completely done, so naturally I decided on another "easy" up a refinery to proces 4 crude oil nodes south of the rocky desert. So far I have gotten as far as setting up 6 chemical reactors to proces the purified crude, and then my brain melted. The sheer number of output products is mindboggling. Heavy oil, hydrocarbons, diesel, resin, sulphur, the list goes on and on. I have a feeling there won't be much nature left on the coast by the time I am done 😀

Haha, I love the frustration about this taking so long to figure out, SF+ for me in a nutshell :D
I guess the Drives not stacking is due to it holding data of the Items, its like NBT-Data in Minecraft, also easier for you to sort the items later for storage.
Well all of this feels like a whole nother mod, fascinating that all of this content is a free mod, I really don't know how to ever look back on the wimpy vanilla SF after that :D especially with all that Inventory pushing and pulling.
Keep it teleporting!

man im loving this! not sure but I think you can build a miner on the quantum crystals now. I think you have to tap off the top bit by hand like other nodes. I could be wrong though, your further than I am.

Yes! exactly 1k subs! Way to go BED! <3

The quantum item network reminds me very strongly of the Applied Energistics 2 mod for Minecraft. It seemed pretty intuitive to me to set up, probably because of those similarities. I feel confident in saying that feature was almost certainly inspired by that mod or similar.

How have you avoided burn out? I started my play through and I am 27 hours in and finding it very hard to want to get back into it.

It's fascinating watching someone else go through the process of figuring out how this new Quantum Mechanics tech works.
In my own tinkering I hadn't tested the max transfer rate of it, that's definitely something worth keeping in mind. That's not exactly a high throughput rate, though, so unless there's a way to further increase that somehow... maybe the repeated mention of "Ficsit Bytes" has something more to it.

So cool. I wonder if running the teleporters long distance is running a cable for a true distance or if there is some work around to that.

the nexus looks like a water statue or something lol

man i rushed this tree and the slug tree in quest of coolant... but the network is awesome

Hmm. If this works like a computer network would, then I'm assuming this is designed to work in parallel. Your server drive is your buffer stack... so let's say you've got 15 inputs each taking different items... Your buffer would fill up quite quickly, right? So let's assume you also have 15 outputs that are taking items out as quickly as you're putting them in... your buffer would only fill insofar as the speed differential between input/output, propagation delay, and processing power. I'm assuming as you increase the rank of your servers/drives, it will increase the speed at which items move through the network. So instead of having 30 items/min per input or output, these could be increased. And the reason why they gave you separate network cable colors is so that you can run 5 different networks at a time. Blue could be manufactured items, yellow could be ores, red could be base liquids and silver could be processed liquids.

I'm going to have to hop back into the game to unlock this stuff. If it works how I think it works, I'd only need to span network cables from place to place instead of needing trains or vehicles or long-ass belt highways...

im torn on faxit. it can make transport mostly obsolete late game. even before drones are available.

on the other hand auto filling my inventory is the best thing ever
