Emergency Scene Management: Scene Survey

When emergency happens, first aid is expected to be done to preserve life, prevent injury, and promote recovery. First aid is done within the framework of the emergency scene management (ESM), which consists of four broad stages, namely: scene survey, primary survey, secondary survey, and ongoing patient care. The focus of this presentation is on the Scene Survey which is a quick assessment of the area where emergency occurred. The primary concern is the first aider's safety.
